621 President UNIDEN HR2510 Testing for local - 1 HR-2510
Just a quick video of a President HR2510 I worked on, it receives & transmits great, AM/FM/SSB all work well, it does about 31 to 32 watts PEAK on AM, I forgot to show the side band output but if I recall it was 35 to 40 watts PEAK. It does have some scratches and marks on its case, face & bezel, but overall looks pretty good for being made in 1988! I did testing with an ASTATIC D104 M6B MIC as they work well on these radios. I love the HR2510's & they are one of my favorite radios for sure! This one has the stock ORANGE light in it, although my camera makes it look kind of yellow.

10 meter mountain top operations
The recent sunspot activity prompted me to go up on the mountain and try some 10 meter operating. I really miss 10 meters and hope the Sun will bless us with some more sunspots. The rig is a President HR2510 and using a 17ah SLA battery. I had to whip up a 10m dipole last night for this trip. The dipole was cut to the formula and was resonant on 28.400...no tuner needed. Elevation at this area is about 6000 ft and has a clear view most of the way around. I am about 40 miles East of Phoenix near the "Four Peaks" as seen on the Arizona license plate.
